Investiture Ceremony held at Holy Redeemer English Medium School
Belthangady: The most significant event of the investiture of the school cabinet was held at Holy Redeemer English Medium School on June 22nd in the school auditorium.
Headmaster Rev. Fr Clifford Simon Pinto escorted the correspondent, Very Rev. Fr Walter D’Mello, and the chief guest, Mr Arjun, police sub-inspector of Belthangady Taluk.
The newly elected school cabinet members, in a solemn procession with a lighted candle in hand, got into the event.
The program began with a prayer song sung by the school choir members. The dignitaries lit the lamp, symbolising cabinet inauguration. Mrs Anitha cordially welcomed the gathering.
An awe-inspiring moment of putting sashes and badging the leaders highlighted the event. The chief guest put the sashes, the correspondent pinned the badges to the leaders to signify the responsibility, and the headmaster lit candles to signify walking in the path of true leadership.
Later, the cabinet members took an oath to abide by the position they held. Mrs Preetha D’Souza offered a prayer for the leaders, and the school choir invoked a hymn to shower God’s blessings on them.
Mrs Renita Lasrado orated the significance of the school squad and introduced the squad leaders, who marched forward proudly with their squad flags.
Chief Guest Mr Arjun, in his address, talked about the basic qualities a leader should have and had an interaction with the Cabinet members. The headmaster, in brief, told about the responsibilities and encouraged others to take up leadership.
The correspondent wished well to all the cabinet members and blessed them.
Mrs Elvita Pais proposed the vote of thanks. Miss Vidya compered the programme. The investiture ceremony concluded by singing the school anthem.
