The program commenced as MC Aman Karkera of Class 8 led the audience in a contemplative mood by reciting the universal prayer, followed by a prayer song and intentions. The significance presented recognized the sacrifices of women in society.

Thought for the day by Anantesh of Class 8 provided a reflective interlude, drawing inspiration from Michelle Obama, who said that “No country can ever truly flourish if it stifles the potential of its women and deprives itself of the contributions of half its citizens.”.

The significance of the day was expounded by Abhimanyu of  Class 12 under the guidance of Mr. Girish Suvarna. International Women’s Day is a reminder that women play a vital role in shaping our society. They are mothers, daughters, sisters, leaders, educators, and changemakers. This day allows us to celebrate their contributions and advocate for a world where women have equal opportunities to thrive.

Songs play a powerful role in celebrating any occasion for several reasons. So the students of Class 8C sang a melodious song highlighting the qualities of women such as strength, resilience, compassion, empathy, determination, and so on.

The event culminated with an address by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Robert D’Souza, who commenced his speech with the message, “Women have always been the epitome of strength and resilience.” A charming woman does not follow the crowd. She is herself. The most beautiful thing a woman can wear is confidence. The principal emphasized the paramount significance of the sacrifice, commitment, and goodwill of the women in the country.

The program was compered by Aman Karkera of class 8C under the guidance of Ms Mini Kumari.

The program helped the students to acknowledge and value the role played by mothers and teachers in their lives.
