August 12, 2024

Belthangady: Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady, celebrated the feast of its Patron with great enthusiasm and devotion on August 8.

The Holy Mass of the Patron’s Feast was celebrated in the church.

The occasion was graced by Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Parish Priest of St Raphael’s Church and Director of Fr L.M. Pinto Memorial Hospital, Badyar, as the chief guest. Correspondent Very Rev. Fr Walter D’Mello presided over the program. Headmaster Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto, Parish Pastoral Council Secretary Mr Gilbert Pinto, and Br Aldrick of the Carmalite congregation from Ashadeep, Madanthyar, were the guests of honour.

The formal celebration began with a solemn prayer service to shower God’s blessings. Student Ayesha Hashmida welcomed the gathering wholeheartedly. Student Apeksha narrated the importance of Patron’s Day wonderfully.

The beautifully decorated statue of the Parton was venerated by the chief guest by lighting the vigil lamp, the correspondent by putting the garland, and the headmaster by performing arathi, while other guests and all staff members and school leaders paid floral tribute.

The entire program was wonderfully organised by the students in classes 8A and 5, under the guidance of Teachers Preetha D’Souza and Mary Suja. Students added more charm to the celebration through their vibrant dance performances and meaningful skit.

The chief guest addressed the students and encouraged them to accomplish great things in life. Correspondent gave a message on need of having a patron. The headmaster gave greetings for the patron’s feast.

Student Eon D’Souza thanked all the helping hands. Student Fathima Afriza compered the program. The program concluded by singing the school anthem to the beats of music.
