Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration & Swachh Bharath Abhiyan Program held at Milagres College

Mangaluru: NSS unit of Milagres College, Hampankatta, Mangaluru celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi and held Swachh Bharath Abhiyan on October 02, 2020.The theme of this program was ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’.

Principal, Rev. Fr. Michael L Santhumayor invoked God’s blessings. Followed by floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhiji, speaking on the occasion he highlighted that as citizens there is a need to understand the vitality of truth and service to mankind.

NSS Program officer, Mr. Denzil.E.Pinto enlightened about the   role of NSS volunteers and the five values that they need to inculcate among themselves such as discipline, dedication, determination, service and sacrifice towards society.

Swachh Bharath Abhiyan in connection to the theme by cleaning the campus was also held, 20 volunteers took active part in the Program.
