Fourth day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica, Harihara, Diocese of Shimoga 

Davanagere, Harihara, September 2, 2024: The fourth day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere District, Diocese of Shimoga, began at 5:30 p.m. with the Rosary, Procession, and Novena led by the Rector and Parish Priest, Rev. Fr George K. A.

Then Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Chancellor of the Diocese of Shimoga and Parish Priest of Good Shepherd Church, Gopala, Shivamogga, offered Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr Lancy Barthalomeo D’Souza, Parish Priest of Mary Immaculate Church, New Town, Bhadravati, Shivamogga, Preached the Sermon. Theme of the day was “Mother Mary is the Role Model of the Couples.” He narrated the role of couples in building up the family. He said the people should follow the example of Mother Mary, who did the will of God by obeying the word of God. 

Rev. Fr Richard Mascarenhas SJ, Rev. Fr George K A, Rev. Fr Alvin Stanislaus, Rev. Fr Eric Mathias SJ, and other Priests concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. 

The Rector of the Basilica, together with the faithful, felicitated Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque and Fr Lancy D’Souza as they celebrated their Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee this year.

After the Mass, Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque led the benediction, and priests prayed over the pilgrims.
