Father Muller and KIOCL opens first ever Lab Collection Centre
Mangaluru: The Father Muller Medical College Hospital in association with KIOCL have opened its first ever Laboratory Sample Collection Centre at KIOCL Health Centre, Kavoor. The Inaugural of the Centre was held on 3 September, 2021 in the presence of the Director and Administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital and the General Managers and team of KIOCL.
KIOCL a public sector unit which has been the crown jewel in the Mangalore Industrial sector catering to its ever growing employees health needs and thus has MOU’s with various Hospitals. Father Muller a brand in itself in Healthcare since 141years has been offering varied health related services at affordable cost with its motto “Heal and Comfort”.
These two popular brands of undivided Canara have been associated since a few decades and grown in leaps and bounds with respect for each other. Father Muller has been providing quality and efficient care to the KIOCL employees and have engraved a place in the hearts of its employees, especially with COVID said Mrs Madhuri who compeered the event, citing her own example as a witness to the selfless service of the staff of Father Muller Medical College Hospital during her COVID bout.
Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI, recalled meeting the KIOCL team during his stint as the Administrator, whose association has ever deepened with mutual respect. He cited the collective efforts of the KIOCL management in keeping employees first and providing them care was the sign of being one family and one team.
Rev. Fr. Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Administrator FMMCH, echoed the sentiments of the trust of the public between the brands saying, both the organizations have been bestowed quality honours in their respective areas. The Hospital being re-accredited with NABH and NABL standards and KIOCL with various certifications shows the dedication of service and quality of care. Father Muller has been a destination not only for the suffering but also for wellness seekers. This new Laboratory Service Centre is the by-product of decades of associations between these institutions of honour.
Dr Manjunath Mallavalli, Chief Medical Officer of the KIOCL Health Centre at Kavoor has been instrumental in setting up this centre and has been a go to person for health related ailments for the KICOL employees and the public of the surrounding area.
The inaugural was in the august presence of the General Manager KIOCL PPO Mr Ramakrishna Rao, General Manager KIOCL BFU Mr Dasappa Shetty, Medical Superintendent FMMCH Dr Uday Kumar, AGM HR KIOCL Mr Tharanath Rai, Sn Gen Manager Mr S. Murugesh, Dr Kelvin Pais Liaison Officer FMCI and the medical staff of FMMCH and KIOCL.
The Laboratory Sample Collection Centre works between 7:30am and 9.00am on Mondays and Fridays only, and has a variety of test covered.
