Emotional Reunification of Praveen with His Family after 10 Years
Manjeshwar, July 20, 2024: Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre Manjeshwar celebrated a touching reunion. Bro. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, rescued Praveen from the attavar, near KMC hospital, and admitted him to Snehalaya. Unable to communicate his identity, he was named Dhooma and received the necessary care at the center.
Due to the joint venture of Snehalaya and Aadhar Seva Kendra Kendra of Mangaluru, it was possible to find his address. The Snehalaya team found that his real name is Praveen, and he hails from Bellary, Karnataka. Soon, the team contacted his family, and they promised to come as soon as possible.
Today the family arrived in Snehalaya and were very emotional to meet Praveen after 10 years. His brother, father, and relatives hugged him and shed tears of joy. Bro. Joseph Crasta greeted him and wished them all the best for the future. His father and brother shared that he went missing when they went to work; they searched him everywhere and even lodged a police complaint at Subramanhya Police Station. Praveen’s mother died while waiting for him in these years.
This story highlights the impact of compassion and perseverance, with Snehalaya’s efforts bringing a lost son back to his family, embodying their commitment to serving society.
