Doctors Day celebrated at Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College
Mangaluru: Doctors Day was celebrated at Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr B C Roy. The dignitaries Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI, Rev. Fr. Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMCH, Dr. Shivaprasad K, Chief Guest, Dr. E.S.J. Prabhu Kiran, Vice Principal, Dr. Girish Navada, DMS joined to inaugurate the programme by lighting the lamp after a prayer song by Dr. Asha & team to invoke God’s blessings.
The Administrator gave the welcome speech and wished the doctors gathered. Dr. Skandhan S Kumar introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. Shivaprasad K, Principal and HOD of department of Organon of Medicine. The Chief Guest was felicitated for his dedicated services to the Institutions and to the society.
Dr. Shivaprasad K, Principal, FMHMC shared his experiences as a student of this College to reach the level of Principal and also about his achievements all through these years outside his profession and at different stages and various sectors both academic and societal.
Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho presided over the function. He and the Chief Guest garlanded the portraits of Dr B C Roy and Rev. Fr Augustus Muller as a mark of honour. Later, he addressed the gathering acknowledging the services of the doctors and PG scholars especially during this COVID pandemic who contributed as COVID warriors.
On this occasion, the logos of REVISION – AIAPGET targeted Crash Course and PROVISION – Webinar Series, a part of Mullerian Vision – 2020 were launched by the Director. Dr. G. Rajachandra and Dr. Deeraj Ignacious Fernandes, conveners of the events accompanied the release.
The programme was live-streamed to the students (UG & PG) of the College.
