Distribution of Mosquito Nets by CODP

Mangaluru: CODP® Mangaluru organized awareness programme on Mosquito-Borne Diseases and also distributed free Mosquito Nets to Kuntengaradka area villagers on 15.03.2020 at CODP Extension office in Kumbla. Mrs. Savitha, Animator of CODP welcomed the dignitaries and the participants.

Rev. Fr Anil Prakash D Souza, Parish Priest of St Monica Church, Kumbla inaugurated the program.

Rev. Fr Oswald Monteiro, Director of CODP said that we should spread awareness about the life endangering viral diseases like Dengue and Malaria spreading through mosquito bites. However, care should be taken to clear stagnated water in our surroundings, in order to not let the mosquitoes breed. Using mosquito nets is one of the precautionary measures to avoid mosquito bites during the night. Thereafter, he distributed mosquito nets to the poor families.
