Constitution Day celebrated at St Agnes College (Autonomous)
Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangaluru celebrated The Constitution Day on 26 November 2020. A National Webinar was organized by the Department of Political Science and National Cadet Corps on the topic Decades of Indian Constitution: The Road Ahead
Constitution was adopted on 26 November, 1949 and came into force on 26 January, 1950, marking the beginning of a new era in the History of India. The Government in 2015 decided to observe 26 November as ‘Constitution Day’ or ‘Samvidhan Divas’.
Lt Richa Chhibber, MMV Degree College, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh was the resource person for the webinar. She addressed on the basic fundamentals of Indian Constitution and stressed on various concepts of Indian Constitution, Sovereignty, Republic, Democratic, Fundamental Rights, Duties etc. Ms. Narmarda of III BA, administered the Preamble of Constitution pledge. The entire team of participants reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian Constitution by taking the pledge.
There were 90 Participants from various colleges of India who actively participated in the Webinar. Webinar was coordinated by Lt Gayathri B.K(ANO) Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science and Dr Hithakshi Anand (ANO), HOD, Department of Psychology, St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangaluru.
