Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh® Bondel Unit Office Bearers for 2025–26 Formally Installed

Bondel, Mangaluru | May 3, 2025 — In a meaningful and spiritually uplifting ceremony, the newly elected office bearers of the Catholic Sabha Bondel Unit for the year 2025–26 were officially installed on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the church mini-hall.

The evening began with a solemn prayer service, which included a Scripture reading and reflection led by members of the Catholic Sabha. A hymn in honor of the Holy Spirit was sung, setting a reverent tone for the proceedings.

Mr. Stephan D’Silva, the outgoing President, warmly welcomed all attendees, including City Varado President Mr. Arun D’Souza and Vice President Mr. Denzil Pinto of Derebail Parish. Spiritual Director Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza was also greeted with a floral gesture, as was the election observer, recognizing their presence and support.

The gathering acknowledged the successful completion of the unit’s election held on March 9, 2025. Mrs. Lynet Pinto presented the annual report, highlighting various achievements and activities of the past year. Treasurer Mr. Manish Mascarenhas presented the financial report. Before the official oath-taking, Mr. Denzil D’Souza read out the roles and responsibilities of the new office bearers.

The newly elected team then solemnly took their oath before the assembled members, affirming their dedication to serve with commitment, integrity, and unity.

In his address, Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing team for their dedicated service. He congratulated the incoming members and assured them of his prayerful support and guidance. Emphasizing the Catholic Sabha’s values of service, sacrifice, and unity, he encouraged members to actively support every family within the parish.

City Varado President Mr. Arun D’Souza congratulated the new team and commended the former office bearers for their impactful work and leadership. Vice President Mr. Denzil Pinto shared his own journey with the Catholic Sabha and credited the organization for nurturing his leadership skills and spiritual growth.

Outgoing President Mr. Stephan D’Silva expressed his gratitude to the entire unit for their constant support during his tenure, particularly appreciating the efforts of Media Convenor Mrs. Meena Barboza for her dedicated service. Having served three terms as President, he warmly welcomed the new leadership team and the newly joined members into the Catholic Sabha family.

Internal auditors Mr. Wilfred Alvares and Mrs. Juliet Dante were also congratulated by the President for accepting their important roles in ensuring transparency and accountability.

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by newly elected Secretary Mrs. Olivia D’Sa. A thanksgiving hymn was sung to mark the end of the installation ceremony, followed by a joyful fellowship meal shared among all members.
