Birth anniversary of the renowned Hindi writer Mohan Rakesh observed at St.Agnes Autonomous College, Mangaluru

Mangaluru: The department of Hindi along with the Hindi Sangh – ‘Prathibha’ of St.Agnes Autonomous  College, Mangaluru held a seminar to commemorate the 97th birth anniversary of the renowned Hindi writer Mohan Rakesh. 

The HOD of Hindi Department, Dr. R. Nagesh, welcomed the guest speaker Ancilla Veetha Dsouza who is a talented alumna of the college.

Ms.Ancilla was the commerce topper of 2019 batch and she continued with Masters in Hindi so as to follow her passion towards Hindi literature. Dr.Uday Kumar of Hindi Department graced the occasion with his presence. The crowd of 2nd year B.Com students along with the members of Hindi Sangh were captivated throughout the seminar and gained knowledge about the significant contribution made by the pioneer of Nayi Kahani movement. 

The coordinator of the Hindi Sangh, Dr. Shailaja Rai, delivered the vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude towards the ex-Agnesian speaker, the Principal, Sr. Dr. M.Vennisa A.C., for the opportunity to conduct the guest lecture and to the audience.
