“Begin Afresh! Be Right!” – Academic Year 2025–26 Inaugurated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School
Belthangady: The new academic year 2025–26 at Holy Redeemer English Medium School was gracefully inaugurated on June 2nd. After a refreshing summer vacation, students were welcomed back to school with warmth and enthusiasm.
The reopening ceremony marked an energetic beginning to the new academic year.
Present on the occasion were the Correspondent, Very Rev. Fr Walter D’Mello; Headmaster, Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto; Parish Pastoral Council Vice President, Mr Walter Monis; Secretary, Mr Gilbert Pinto; and PTA Vice President, Mr Ramesh.
The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising the light of knowledge. A solemn prayer session followed, invoking God’s blessings and creating a devotional atmosphere.


The academic year was symbolically inaugurated in a creative and meaningful way.
The Headmaster delivered a warm welcome address and introduced the newly appointed staff members, who were greeted with applause and appreciation. A delightful welcome dance performed by the teachers left the students feeling inspired and excited.
The Headmaster then addressed the students, highlighting important rules and regulations to be followed throughout the year.
In his message, the Correspondent encouraged students to be diligent in their studies, actively participate in school activities, and carry out their responsibilities sincerely.
The ceremony concluded with a spirited rendition of the school anthem sung in unison.
Teacher Blendin Rodrigues proposed the words of gratitude and compered the programme with poise.
