AIMIT Signs MoU with DEEDS to Launch Service-Learning Project for MBA Students

Mangaluru: The Department of MBA at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), AIMIT Centre, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DEEDS (Development Education Service) on 15th May 2025, marking the beginning of a meaningful collaboration under the Service-Learning Project (SLP) for final-semester MBA students.

This initiative is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in addressing social challenges, with a particular focus on the rights and empowerment of women and the girl child. Through this partnership, students will engage in field-based learning, contributing to real-world change while also developing essential social awareness and leadership skills.

DEEDS, a well-established NGO based in Mangaluru, is recognized for its strong commitment to social justice, gender equality, child rights, and women’s empowerment. The organization works closely with marginalized communities through a variety of programs, including awareness campaigns, educational outreach, and advocacy efforts.

This collaboration aligns with AIMIT’s vision of holistic education, bridging academic knowledge with community engagement, and preparing students to become socially responsible leaders of tomorrow.
