Agnesian Alumni Association – Bangalore Chapter Holds Annual General Meeting
Bengaluru: The Agnesian Alumni of Bangalore gathered for their Annual General Meeting on April 27, 2025, at the Sky Lounge, Catholic Club. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of Agnesians from both Bangalore and Mangalore, celebrating their shared legacy and deep camaraderie.
The association unanimously re-elected Coreen D’Souza Fareed as President. Lunita Pais D’Sa was re-elected Vice President, Prajwal Mathias continued as Treasurer, while Annette Lobo Menezes assumed the role of Secretary from Naomi Rasquinha. Brinda Somiah was appointed Joint Secretary.

The event was graced by Hilma Roach, former President and appointed Election Officer, who smoothly conducted the election process. Her guidance and presence were a great source of encouragement. Also in attendance was Marjorie Texeira, Vice President of the Agnesian Alumni Association, Mangalore — her participation added further significance to the occasion.

Agnesians Mariette D’Souza, Marissa Noronha, Pearl Fernandes, and Jyothi travelled from Mangalore to be part of the occasion, and their presence was warmly appreciated. The absence of Sr Vanessa, Principal of St Agnes College, was deeply felt, though her blessings and wishes were conveyed.
Vibha Shetty served as the lively Master of Ceremonies. After the formal proceedings, the afternoon turned celebratory with engaging games, a round of housie, and a delicious Chinese lunch.

The atmosphere was electric with music and laughter. Sisters Maya and Sheela played the keyboard, while Coreen, Savitha, Lorette, Priya, Prajwal, Lunita, and many others sang along, prompting everyone to dance with enthusiasm and joy.
A talent competition added to the festivities. Kavita Rego and her friend Vineeta charmed the audience and won the contest with their entertaining mono act and rendition of “Daisy Daisy.”

Local Tulu songs sung by Prajwal brought a wave of nostalgia, especially for the Bunt community, evoking cherished cultural memories.
As the event drew to a close, every Agnesian returned with beautiful memories, strengthened friendships, and a renewed sense of belonging to the Agnesian family.

The true spirit of Agnesians
Nurtures a bond to connect
It highlights a celebration

Hand in hand,
To love and endure.
