Agnesian alumna aces the ACCA exam
Mangaluru: Agnesian alumna aces the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK).
A native of Mangaluru, Misba Banu cleared her ACCA papers for which the exams were held in June. She was a student of St. Agnes College, Mangaluru where she pursued BCom integrated with ACCA.
Misba’s success also marks her off as the third alumna of the institution to become an ACCA affiliate.
ACCA is a globally recognized accounting qualification that provides a strong foundation to students and professionals for careers in Accounting, Tax Consulting, etc. According to a report by ACCA Global 1,03,000 students around the world appeared for approximately 1,28,000 ACCA exams. Subsequently, 3,838 students completed their final exams to become ACCA affiliates whose results were announced on July 19th (on Monday).
Misba holds an ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business and an Affiliate Membership from ACCA, UK. With these qualifications and an active campus placement programme at St Agnes College, she currently works as an Audit Associate in KPMG.
In pursuance of her aspirations, she has set an example for future aspirants by making complete use of her intellect and qualifications.
According to Misba, the journey of clearing the exams was not easy, but the management and faculty of St. Agnes College always ensured that students received the best of all coaching and guidance to continue their professional journey. “St. Agnes College not only motivates students to clear the ACCA exams but also ensures that they achieve great results in B.com,” she said.
She said Success is not final and failure is not fatal, it’s the courage to continue that counts. As she credits her institution for all the support, she is most grateful to her parents Mr. Ashraf Ali and Miftha Banu for guiding her during the hard times.
