A Comprehensive Health Camp Brings Vital Services to the Vamanjoor Community
Mangaluru: June 30, 2024: Shree Rama Bajana Mandira in Vamanjoor hosted a highly successful one-day general health camp organized by Father Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with the R G Foundation and Sanvedana Mahila Samithi, Vamanjoor. The camp provided a wide range of medical services to 169 beneficiaries, including general medicine, obstetrics and gynecology (OBG), pediatrics, dermatology, ENT, and ophthalmology. Laboratory and pharmacy services were also available to ensure comprehensive care.
Students from the IV-year BSc Nursing program, Ms. Jyothi Thomas, Ms. Melisha Dsouza, and Ms. Marrika Fernandes, played a pivotal role in the camp by dispensing free medicines and assisting with ECG and blood pressure measurements. The event was coordinated by Ms. Priya S. Pereira, a faculty member from Father Muller College of Nursing.
The health camp not only provided essential medical services but also promoted health awareness and preventative care within the community. Attendees expressed their gratitude for the accessible and quality healthcare provided.
Looking ahead, Father Muller Medical College Hospital, along with its partners, plans to organize more such camps to reach underserved areas, ensuring that healthcare is accessible to all.
