Young Author Ms. Reshel Bretny Fernandes Features in The Empowered Pen Magazine 2025
Mangaluru: In the 2025 edition of The Empowered Pen magazine, published by Authors of India (TAOI) and the DRDC Literary Council Authors Edition, New Delhi, Ms. Reshel Bretny Fernandes, a young author and orator from Mangaluru, has been prominently featured for her accomplishments in the literary field. She has received recognition at international, national, and state levels, earning honors from various organizations.
Ms. Fernandes is celebrated for her two books of essays, which delve into collective societal topics, offering insights into social concepts and thought processes aimed at molding society. One of her standout works, Bharat @2047: Role of Youth, highlights her as the first young author to write on such a significant subject dedicated to nation-building. This work, which empowers contemporary society, earned her the “Author of New Era” award in 2024.
In addition to these accolades, Ms. Fernandes has received prestigious awards from renowned organizations. Her achievements have further been lauded for presenting her book to Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and other distinguished dignitaries.
She is the daughter of Mr. Ronald and Mrs. Nancy Fernandes, both teachers from Surathkal. Currently, she is pursuing a law degree at SDM Law College, Mangalore.
