Vanamathotsava at Holy Redeemer School, Belthangady

‘The roots of trees are our source of living. Save trees to save lives’.

Belthangady: Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady, celebrated Vanamahotsava on July 12th in a meaningful way. The members of Eco Club took the initiative in organising the event under the guidance of Eco Club mentors, Teacher Vintha Moras and Prabha Gowda. Student Praneeth Moras of Class 10 expressed the significance of Vanamahotsava. The importance of trees was beautifully depicted in a skit. Commonly used medicinal plants and their benefits were discussed.

Headmaster Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto encouraged the students to take initiative in planting trees and nurturing them. The event concluded with the planting of saplings on the school campus by the Eco Club members and the Staff. The programme was compered skillfully by Reshal Bennis of Class 10.
