Third day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica, Harihara

Davanagere, September 1, 2023: The third day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere District, Diocese of Shimoga, began at 5:30 p.m. with the rosary, procession, and Novena led by the Rector and Parish Priest, Rev. Fr George K. A.

Then Rev. Fr Roman Pinto, Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier’s Church, Kable, offered Holy Eucharist. He preached his homily on the theme, “Mother Mary is an inspiration for youth to lead a life of holiness.” He explained about the love of God, which radiated in the life of Mary. How she obeyed God with love and faced everything with the loving grace of God. He said that we are invited to lead lives of holiness by following her example. He invited young people to follow her example.

Rev. Fr George K A, Rev. Fr Richard Mascarenhas SJ, Rev. Fr Eric Mathias SJ, Fr John Baptist SJ, Fr Lawrence D’Souza, Fr Alphonse Lobo, and Rev. Fr Alvin Stanislaus concelebrated the Holy Eucharist.

After the Mass, Rev. Fr Roman Pinto led the benediction, and priests prayed over the pilgrims. Food was served for all.
