Talk on “Dr Kalam – Vision India 2020” held at SAC

Mangaluru: St Aloysius college (Autonomous) recently organized a guest talk by Mr. Jayaprakash Rao, former regional PRO, DRDO Ministry Of Defence, Zonal Chairman, Public Relations Council of India on the topic Dr Kalam – Vision India 2020 – Advancement of Science and technology in Indian Defence Sector.

Rev Fr Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, Principal presided over the programme. Dr Santhosh Goveas, Co-Ordinator and Ms Akshitha, Convenor were present on the dais.

Mr. Rao began his guest talk by giving the audience a glimpse about Dr Kalam and his early life as a student. He spoke Dr Kalam’s vision about young India, the origin of ISRO, the achievement of ISRO and about various opportunities in the Indian Defence sector. Mr Rao also shared exclusive footags of making of Chandrayan 2 and launch of same along with footages about various mission conducted by ISRO.

Rupal D’Souza, III B.Sc. compered the programme. Ms Akshitha welcomed the gathering. Pia, III B.Sc. introduced the guest. Angelica, I B.Sc. proposed the vote of thanks.
