St Philomena College (Autonomous) Secures Runner-Up Title at University-Level Physics Fest ‘Physica 2025’
Puttur, 2 May 2025: The undergraduate students of St Philomena College (Autonomous), Puttur, have brought laurels to the institution by securing the Runner-Up title at Physica 2025, a university-level physics fest organized by the Postgraduate Department of Physics, Mangalore University.
The fest, which witnessed participation from various colleges under the university’s ambit, featured a vibrant array of competitions, including quiz, scientific lecture, painting, live experiments, treasure hunt, and video documentation. Demonstrating remarkable scientific temper and creative expression, the students of St Philomena College excelled in multiple events, winning several prizes across categories.
The Principal of the college, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the prize-winning students and lauded their achievements, describing it as a proud moment for the institution. He also appreciated the dedication and commitment of the faculty members who mentored the students throughout the fest.
Dr Chandrashekar K., Head of the Department of Physics, and Mrs Pooja Shree V. Rai, Assistant Professor, guided the team and enabled them to perform with confidence.
