St Philomena College (Autonomous) Receives Multiple Awards at District Consumer Education Awards
Puttur, May 25: St Philomena College, Puttur, has once again reaffirmed its dedication to civic responsibility and student empowerment by securing multiple honours at the Annual Prize and Certificate Distribution Ceremony hosted by the District Consumer Education Centre. The prestigious event was held at Besant Women’s College, Mangalore.
The college clinched the Second Prize in the Best Performing College category — a testament to its sustained commitment to promoting consumer awareness and education through innovative activities and outreach programs.
Adding to this achievement, Praveen D, the Coordinator of the Consumer Club at St Philomena College, was awarded the Second Prize for Best Coordinator. His exemplary leadership and consistent guidance have played a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant culture of consumer education among students.
In the individual accolades segment, two students — Apoorva of I BCom and Vishal Prabhu of III BCom — won the Second and Third Prizes, respectively, in the Outstanding Performing Student category.





Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of St Philomena College, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, along with faculty and students, expressed immense pride in these accomplishments and remarked, “This recognition not only celebrates our past efforts but also inspires us to further our mission of empowering youth through informed citizenship.”
