St. Agnes PU College Mangaluru celebrates Achievers Day

Mangaluru: St. Agnes PU College celebrated the achievements of the students in Academics and               co-curricular activities on 15th December, 2022. It also marked the contribution done by the students towards the welfare of the college.

This auspicious occasion commenced with an invocation. The felicitation event was graced by Mr Joselyn T. Lobo -Retd. Dean and Associate Professor of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Sr Norine DSouza, The Principal, Sr Janet Sequeira- the Vice Principal, Faculty and Students.

Mr Joselyn in his interactive session spoke at length about career guidance and stated the importance of sitting and slowly thinking about problems and finding the right solution before thinking of a quick easy way out which might be rash. He said that the achievers had taken hurdles, adversity and disappointments optimistically with perseverance, patience and hard work as their weapons and thereby proved to be the academic toppers and the winners of various competitions. He urged the students of second PUC to dream big and accomplish it by determination, sincerity and God’s blessings through  icebreakers and activities. He further elaborated on “Success is walking from Failure to Failure”.

Faculty of the college were also part of some of the competitions and were honored on this occasion. Techteam of the college and student council members were appreciated for their joyful service to the college on different occasions.

Anvitha Shetty a cancer survivor was felicitated for being a warrior of hope and a role model to many students, she was applauded for her achievement in academics and activities. 

The top scorers were awarded merit certificates by Sr Norine DSouza-The Principal,       Sr Janet Sequeira- the Vice Principal and Mr Joselyn T. Lobo and congratulated on their golden success.

Mrs Olivia Patrao introduced Mr Joselyn T. Lobo, Ms Paloma compered the programme and Ms. Kalasha proposed the vote of thanks.
