St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru to conduct International Yoga Day 2022
Mangaluru: The Post Graduate Department of Psychology and Clinical Psychology, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru will be observing the International Yoga Day, on the 21 June 2022.
Stemming from the Sanskrit word “yuj” which translates into meaning “union”, the practice of Yoga aims in creating a union between the mind and the body, thereby promoting the overall health of individuals.
Given the invaluable contribution of Yoga towards wellbeing, in 2015 a motion was passed by the United Nations marking every 21 June as International Yoga Day, the theme for the year 2022 being “Yoga for humanity”. In order to observe this, St Agnes College in collaboration with Decathlon and Yoga Chetana invites participants to engage in this experience. The program will start at 7 am at the Old Auditorium, UG Block. After the inaugural function, participants will be oriented to the theoretical underpinnings of Yoga, followed by the practice of the same.
