St Agnes College (Autonomous) conducts National Level Webinar on ‘Cyber Security’

Mangaluru: The Department of Computer Applications conducted a webinar on ‘Cyber Security’ on 29 July 2020. Mr Robinson D’Souza, Founder-CyberSapiens United LLP was the resource person. He dwelt upon some of the major cyber attacks, careers in cyber security, how cyber security works and cyber security awareness. He gave a demonstration of man in the middle attack on live website.

Sr Dr Venissa A C, Principal, St Agnes College(Autonomous), while addressing the participants stressed on the fact that security is crucial for all individuals and organisations at all levels. There are risks involved while using technology. Sensitive data needs to be protected. Security measures aim to reduce vulnerability and attacks she said. Mrs Malavika Shetty, Convener and Head of the department of Computer Applications, welcomed the participants and introduced the resource person. Mrs Sreevalli Shetty, Asst professor, Department of Computer Applications proposed the vote of thanks.
