Solemn Good Friday Service Observed at Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres

Mangaluru, April 18:A large gathering of the faithful marked the solemn observance of Good Friday at Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres. The service commemorating the Passion of Our Lord witnessed the participation of around two thousand people in a deeply prayerful atmosphere.

The liturgy featured Scripture readings and reflections that emphasized the obedience of Jesus unto death on the cross, a supreme act of love that revealed the Heavenly Father’s mercy for all humanity. Fr Maxim Rosario, Estate Manager of the Diocese of Mangalore, delivered a moving homily that beautifully connected this theme, inviting the faithful to reflect on Christ’s redemptive sacrifice.

The congregation joined in the Solemn Intercessions, praying for the Church, the world, and various communities, seeking God’s grace and mercy for all. The service also included the distribution of the Holy Eucharist, symbolizing communion with the suffering Christ.

Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, the Parish Priest, along with Fr Michael Santmayor, Fr Uday, Fr Robin, and Fr Gerald, led the service. The ceremony concluded with a silent procession through the city streets, offering a powerful witness of faith and reverence.
