Snehalaya hands over newly built house to the needy Family

Mangaluru: “Whatever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto me”

True to the words of Bible Snehalaya Charitable Trust is in service to mankind since 12 years. Providing housing to the needy is one of the initiatives started during the pandemic.

Shri Devasi and Family of Mundaje, is blessed to have their own house through Snehalaya.
Most Rev Lawrence Mukkushy, Bishop of Belthangady diocese, inaugurated and blessed the newly built house.


Shri. Kiran Kumar CJ, Managing Director of RJC Readymix concrete and one of the donors of Snehalaya handed over the newly built house to the beneficiary.

Sr. Grace Mathias, the correspondant of Venur Navachethana English Medium school, unveiled the name board “Divine Grace” of the house, in the presence of parish priest of Mundaje, Rev Fr. Vinoy Sébastien, Rev Fr. Roshan & Rev Fr. Joy, cmf. and Santhosh Dsouza bldg. Committee chief.

Shri Geo D Silva gave a wonderful prelude, objectives & activities of Snehalaya and welcomed the guests, compared the program effectively.

The Bishop said” as religious we have a big task to carry on God’s mission but the laity also is having a big role to play in social transformation. I see Snehalaya is doing an exemplary work reaching out to hundreds of families.”. He assured his prayers and blessings to carry on this mission in the future to many more.

Shri Kiran admired the works of Snehalaya and said he has been very closely following Joseph’s works and very proud of such committed service.

Sr Grace wished the beneficiary and said God has worked wonders through Snehalaya in this family and a sweet home for the homeless is great blessings in these difficult times.

Sr. Cecily and Ms Lisha expressed their gratitude to Joseph Crasta & Snehalaya specially for the care rendered during the Corona attack that when the family was in devastating state.

Shri Mohammed the local Civil contractor was honored by Snehalaya for his exceptional work.

The family honored Joseph and the Mundaje parish expressed their gratitude by presenting a sound system to Snehalaya for their yeomen service.

Joseph Crasta spoke on this occasion and said we are just instruments in the hands of God. He leads us to various needy people and having experienced the shortfall of this family, with the help of donors and hard work of contractor a beautiful house is provided to Devassi.

Rev Fr Joy proposed vote of thanks and a fellowship meal was served.
