SJEC Bids Grand Farewell to Its Pioneering Autonomous Batch – B.E. Class of 2025
Mangaluru: ALVIDA 2025, a grand farewell programme for the final-year undergraduate students of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor, was held on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Kalam Auditorium.
The event commenced with an invocation, followed by the presentation of a heartfelt farewell video. The video beautifully captured the students’ cherished memories and experiences at SJEC, along with warm messages and best wishes from faculty members.
Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal of SJEC, welcomed the gathering. The toast was raised by Dr Sanath Saralaya, Head of the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, who urged the students to be proud alumni of the college and serve as its good ambassadors.









On behalf of the final-year students, Ms Sarvika from the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mr Sohan Austin Mascarenhas from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering responded to the toast. They fondly reminisced about their time at SJEC and expressed gratitude to the institution.
Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC, delivered the presidential address, reflecting on the students’ journey, celebrating their achievements, and offering words of encouragement for their future endeavours.
Following this, Rev. Fr Kenneth R. Crasta, Assistant Director, invoked divine blessings upon the outgoing students, wishing them success, strength, and guidance as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, also graced the occasion.
The formal event was gracefully compered by Dr Aswathy and Ms Supreetha D. R.
Ms Padmini Bhat, the convener of the programme, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the management, faculty, and students for their support in making the event a memorable success.
The formal proceedings concluded with warm wishes extended to the graduating students. The atmosphere then turned festive with a vibrant dance performance by the VDC Group, followed by an energetic Baila session, filling the auditorium with joy, rhythm, and celebration.
