PTA General Body Meeting held at Mount Carmel Central School
Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School held its PTA General Body Meeting for the academic year 2022-23 on August 6, 2022 in the school auditorium. The meeting commenced by imploring the Divine blessings. The welcome was accorded by the Principal Sr Melissa and strengthened by vibrant tapping of feet of the students. The presence of the parents in large number was very encouraging.
The students of grade X and XII who worked hard to excel in board exams were acknowledged and felicitated. The special achievers in the field of sports and a child prodigy for super memory were also recognised. While secretary of PTA, teacher Priyanka read out the report of the academic year, treasurer teacher Shaila K placed the audited financial report before the members. The chief guest Mr Manoj Louis, Asst. Professor, Govt. First Grade College, Kavoor, Mangaluru, an eminent educationist addressed the audience on “National Education Policy 2020” and its effect on students and teachers. He also spared time for interaction with parents on their queries and doubts on its implementation.
The election to the PTEC was conducted in a swift manner after which there was a healthy and helpful interaction between the Principal Sr Melissa and the parents regarding a few concerns. Teacher Reshma DSouza emceed the meeting. The vice president of PTA Dr Preethi Keerthi Dsouza rendered the vote of thanks. Refreshments were served to the parents. The meeting strengthened the bond between the management, parents and the teachers, and ended with a positive note with the singing the national anthem.
