PTA Annual General Meeting held at Holy Redeemer School Belthangady

Belthangady: Strong roots uphold a plant firm and help it grow into a majestic tree.

The PTA Annual General Meeting of Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady, was held on July 8 in the School Auditorium. A good number of parents were present.

The meeting began by invoking God’s blessings through a hymn of praise by the Students. PTA Secretary Teacher Anitha presented the Annual report. The school activities of the previous year, 2022–2023, were virtually presented. Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto introduced and welcomed the school’s new correspondent, Very Rev. Fr Walter DMello, and the newly appointed staff. The work plans and activities for the current academic year, as well as the basic rules and regulations, were compiled. Student Luha Mariyam, the school topper in the SSLC Examination 2022-2023, was felicitated. The teaching staff of Class 10 were congratulated on securing a 100% result in the 2022–2023 SSLC Board Examination.

Mr Rajesh K, the cluster resource person of Guruvayanakere cluster, a Drama writer, an actor, and a recipient of the ‘Shikshana Sarathi’ and ‘Shikshana Jnana Jyothi’ awards, was the chief guest and the resource person for the event. He gave insights on Parents’ relationships with their children and Teachers.

PTA Vice President Mr Bonaventure Pinto and Joint Secretary Mrs Wilma Rego were felicitated on the completion of their tenure. New representatives for the PTA for the present year were elected. The correspondent delivered his presidential message on paying attention to the Child’s overall behaviour, disciplinary, and educational developments.

The meeting was concluded by singing the school anthem. Teachers: Mrs Pallavi welcomed the gathering, Mrs Elvita Pais introduced the new staff, Mrs Blendin Rodrigues introduced the resource person, Mrs Lorna Lobo thanked the gathering; and Mrs Shanthi Pereira compered the programme.
