Padua PU College celebrated Parents’ Day
Mangaluru: The formal programme commenced with a prayer song sung by the parents. The event was presided over by Rev. Fr. Walter D’Souza, the Correspondent of Padua Educational Institutions, with Chief Guest Mr. Vinod D’Souza, Associate Professor at AJIET Mangaluru and Vice President of the Bendur Parish Pastoral Parishad. Also present were Mrs. Mariette Mascarenhas, principal; Mrs. Nithasha, PTA representative; and Dr. Ramprasad, lecturer in Hindi. The principal welcomed the gathering, after which Fr. Walter and Mr. Vinod shared their thoughts.
Later, fun games and competitions were held for the parents. In the afternoon, the cultural programme began with Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo, the Campus Director of Padua Educational Institutions, addressed the gathering. This was followed by performances showcasing the talents of parents, students, and teachers.
The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony.
Family Day was a resounding success, with excellent participation from both parents and students. The event achieved its goal of strengthening the relationship within the college community and fostering a spirit of camaraderie. Parents appreciated the opportunity to learn more about their children’s experiences at the college, while students enjoyed the attention and encouragement from their families. Overall, it was a day filled with joy, learning, and community building.
