Padua English Higher Primary School organizes the King & Queen Competition
Mangaluru, October 16, 2024: As part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Padua English Higher Primary School, the King & Queen Competition showcased a vibrant display of Indian heritage and history. Students from Grades I to VII participated.
The event began with a solemn prayer led by the students, followed by a warm welcome speech from Head Mistress Mrs. Molly Dsouza. The chief guest, Mr.Ancel Crasta, an alumnus, delivered an uplifting speech, encouraging students to embrace qualities of leadership and courage, much like the kings and queens they portrayed. The competition was presided over by Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo, the campus director of Padua Educational Institutions, who praised the students for their hard work and enthusiasm. Mrs. Mariette Mascarenhas, principal of Padua PU College, graced the occasion.
There were 41 contestants competing across two categories, judged by two distinguished judges, Mrs. Anitha Rodriguez and Miss Seema Pereira. The top three participants in Grades I to IV were awarded the titles of Charming Prince and Charming Princess, while in Grades V to VII, the titles of King of Elegance and Queen of Elegance were bestowed. All contestants were awarded certificates.
The event was hosted by Mrs. Wilma D’Souza, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Sunitha Sequeira.
