Padua College hosts National Conference on Developing Skills for a Sustainable Future: Enhancing Employability
Mangaluru: IQAC and Research Promotion Committee of Padua College of Commerce and Management, Nanthur, Mangaluru, in association with Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association (MUCTA), organised ‘Padua Scintilla’ a National Conference on Developing Skills for a Sustainable Future—Enhancing Employability on 29th October 2024 in Padua Premises.
The total Participants for this event were 115. The inauguration program commenced at 9.30 a.m. in Padua Auditorium. The dignified dignitaries for this program were President of the Program Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Walter Dsouza, Chief Guest, Rev. Dr. Ivan Dsouza, Head, Chair in Christianity, Mangalore University, who inspired the delegates with his deep insights on the necessity for skills in the current situation for employability. Keynote Speaker Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Psychologist, Mind Trainer & Coach, Principal PA First Grade College, who imprinted in the minds of the delegates the need for knowing our subconscious, to be positive and forgiving, Principal Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo, Vice Principal and HOD of Commerce Prof. Roshan Santhumayor, MUCTA secretary Dr. Udaya Shetty K, Research Promotion Committee Coordinator Prof. Thanuja, and IQAC Coordinator Mrs Jesfrida Menezes.
There were two technical sessions titled “Dexterity Design amongst Knowledge Workers, which was headed by Dr. Preethi Keerthi Dsouza, Chairperson & Associate Professor Department of Commerce, Mangalore University, and “Skil in Education: Indian Spiritual Perspectives, headed by Rev. Dr. Henry DAlmeida, SJ, Professor of Philosophy, Jnana Deepa University, Pune.
The valedictory Program was scheduled at 3.30 p.m., and the chief guest for this session was Mr. Vinod Dsouza, AJIET Mangalore, and Vice President, Bendur Church. The program was adjourned at 4.30 p.m.
