Mangaluru: St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore, hosted a vibrant and inspiring Orientation Programme on December 2, 2024, to welcome the MBA and MCA students of the 2024-2026 batch. The event, held in the Seminar Hall of the Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Block, was attended by students, their parents, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

The programme commenced at 9:30 AM with a prayer song and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge. Ms. Akshitha Menon, Assistant Professor of MCA, efficiently compered the event. The Chief Guest, Ms. Divya Dsouza, a celebrated entrepreneur and NLP Master Practitioner, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the importance of leadership, career planning, and personal growth.

The event was presided over by Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C., Principal of St. Agnes College, who encouraged students to uphold the institution’s values and strive for academic and personal excellence. Other dignitaries in attendance included Sr. Dr. M. Vinora A.C. (PG Coordinator), Sr. Carmel Rita A.C. (Administrator), Ms. Sheryl Preethika (HOD of MBA), and Ms. Panchajanyeswari (HOD of MCA). The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Panchajanyeswari.

Following the inaugural session, the day continued with enriching interactions. The Principal, Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C., led an insightful session on the college’s core values and graduate attributes, introducing students and parents to the ethos of the institution and inspiring holistic development.

In the afternoon, Ms. Shavina Soans, a trainer specializing in soft skills, conducted an engaging session on mastering communication for personal and professional success. The interactive activities encouraged participation and teamwork, leaving students energized and motivated.

The Orientation Programme concluded on a high note, laying a strong foundation for the MBA and MCA students of the 2024-2026 batch. The blend of motivational talks, values-based learning, and skill-building activities ensured a memorable start to their academic journey at St. Agnes College.
