One Day as a Scientist: Science Quiz at St. Agnes High School

Mangaluru: To enhance scientific thinking, knowledge, and curiosity among students, St. Agnes High School conducted a science quiz on Tuesday, June 24, under the title “One Day as a Scientist.” The event served as a vibrant platform for students passionate about science to shine and gain recognition.

The quiz was conducted squad-wise, with four students representing each group. Teams were given creative, science-themed names such as Eureka, Orbit Runners, Spark Lighters, Cosmic Scientists, Nova, and more, adding an imaginative flair to the competition.

Organized and smoothly conducted by the Science teachers, the quiz featured several intellectually stimulating rounds, including the MCQ Round, Step Ladder Round, Visual Round, Who Am I Round, and the thrilling Rapid Fire Round. Each round was carefully designed to assess the participants’ knowledge, reasoning, and speed in various areas of science.

Adding to the excitement, non-participating students were also engaged through a lively Audience Round, allowing more students to showcase their scientific acumen.

The Headmistress, Sr. Gloria A.C, encouraged students to nurture their scientific curiosity and continue exploring the wonders of science. She also appreciated the commendable efforts of the Science teachers — Ms. Prathima K.B, Ms. Preethi Patrao, and Ms. Prima Frank — for organizing an engaging and educational event that truly brought science to life.
