Ninth Day of Devotion Preceding the Annual Feast of St Anthony Held at Dornahalli, Mysore

Dornahalli, Mysore, June 12, 2025: The ninth and final day of the Novena devotion in preparation for the grand Annual Feast of St Anthony was observed with deep spiritual fervour at St Anthony’s Basilica, Dornahalli. A large gathering of the faithful came together in prayer and thanksgiving, eagerly anticipating the upcoming feast.

The Eucharistic celebration was solemnly presided over by Rev. Fr. Maria Xavier, Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Church, Pushpagiri. The theme of the day, “Hope builds a community of the new commandment,” reflected the spirit of love, unity, and mutual care that underpins Christian life.

Following the Holy Mass, the faithful participated in the Novena prayers, offering their intentions and petitions with heartfelt devotion. The culmination of the novena was marked by the Procession of the Holy Statue of St Anthony and the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, bringing to a close the nine-day spiritual journey filled with grace and reflection.
