Moodbidri: Novena preyar began in preparation for the feast of the infant Jesus on January 8, 2023, at Alangar. V.Rev. Fr. Onil DSouza, vicar forane of Moodbidri, hoisted the festival flag and inaugurated nine days of spiritual preparation for the feast.

In his message, Fr. Onil said, “We need to prepare spiritually for the feast.” The Holy Family is the best example for us. Because all three obeyed the will of God and surrendered to it, they became holy and an example for all of us.

“Let this preparation for the feast help us to be holy and lead us to Jesus to grow in his love.”

Later, Fr. Onil celebrated the Holy Mass and prayed for the devotees. Mass was followed by the Novena prayer to the infant Jesus. A meal was served to all the devotees present.
