Nine-day Novena prior to the Annual feast of St Lawrence Church, Bondel begins

Mangaluru: The Nine-day Novena prior to the Annual feast of St Lawrence Church, Bondel began on Sunday , August 1st   with the unfurling of St Lawrence’s flag here at the church premises at 5.45 p.m .

Dr Satish Kallimar, Bondel , hoisted the flag of St Lawrence for  the devotion of the Nine day novena in preparation for the annual feast of St Lawrence  to be celebrated on 10th August 2021. Fr Andrew Leo Dsouza Parish Priest ,Rev Fr Clifford Pinto, Principal, St Lawrence English Medium School ,Rev Fr Rupesh Tauro, Asst Parish Priest, Fr Ravi MSIJ Mr Reginald D’Souza, Vice-President, parish pastoral council, Mr Steevan Noronha, Secretory, Mr Prakash Pinto, Shrine committee convener  Plenty of Devotees were present .

The theme of the feast of this year’s celebration “Lord  Increase our Faith ”-(Luke 17:5)

Rev Fr James D’Souza  Parish Priest  Vamanjoor, was the main Celebrant, Rev Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Rev Fr Clifford Pinto, ,Rev Fr Rupesh Tauro concelebrated the mass.

Theme of the 1st Day “In the present situation for those who are dwindling in their faith” Rev Fr James D’Souza called on the devotees of St Lawrence to be firm in our faith.

The choir was from St Lawrence Church Bondel, Bajal.

During the Celebration the Shrine Stall Keeper Peter Fernandes was honoured.
