NCC program launched at St Theresa’s School, Bendur Mangalore
Mangaluru: “Unity and Discipline” can make students better citizens of tomorrow. NCC – National cadet Corps has grown over the years to become the country’s premier youth organization. It is now recognised as a variable auxiliary to the education system. St Theresa’s School, Bendur, Mangalore added another feather to its cap by launching the NCC programme in the school. The inaugural of NCC program was organised on 22 December 2021. The Guests of honour were Luitanant Colonel Amitabh Singh, Administrative Officer, 18 Karnataka Batallion NCC and Subedar Major Raju Gaurang, 18 Karnataka Batallion NCC, accompanied by Training JCO, 18 Karnataka Batallion and PI Staff, 18 Karnataka Batallion. The guests were given a floral welcome by Sr Lourdes the Principal.
Lieutenant Colonel Amitabh Singh,encouraged the students to develop leadership qualities. He advised that this is a good opportunity to join the armed forces in future. He urged the students to serve as a role model for their peers and to respond to the society and in emergencies.
The students took the NCC oath. Sr Lourdes the Principal motivated the students to improve their leadership qualities, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and their selfless service to the society.
