NCC & NSS volunteers urge students to continue precaution against COVID-19
Mangaluru: Altogether 113 NSS volunteers and 22 NCC Cadets of St. Agnes College (Autonomous) participated in the COVID 19 awareness campaign on Tuesday.
Wearing masks, gloves and following the norms of social distancing; students paid a visit to over a dozen of local eateries, hotels, auto-drivers, shops, commercial establishments and public places. The students interacted with the people and reminded them the importance of wearing masks, use of sanitizers, gloves and to take vaccines whenever their turn comes.
Sr Roopa A.C., Vice Principal of St. Agnes College (Autonomous) inaugurated the campaign. She lauded the student’s initiative on COVID-19 awareness drive. “It’s everyone’s duty to cooperate and follow the guideline issued by the health authorities on COVID-19. We need to understand that the threat from the virus is still prevalent and we must maintain all the necessary cautions,” she said. Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” so let’s join and create an awareness,” she said.
Faculties such as Mrs Vineetha N T, Mr Derik Dias, Mrs Meera Devi, NSS Officers and Lt. Gayathri ANO, NCC were present during the campaign.
