Mount Carmel School’s budding Poetess Perpetua’s book “Beautifully Broken” released
Mangaluru: “There’s always “Beauty” in the “Broken” for only then, can we grow in hope… of the light that we long to see.”
These words of Perpetua Pereira, a student of class IX of Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, Mangaluru found meaning as her book of One Liners entitled “Beautifully Broken” was released at a function on 27th November 2021 in the school auditorium. The book was launched by Lt. Col. Anilesh Kaushik along with Subedahr Vithal Lagali, Principal Sr Melissa, Vice Principal Sr Lidwyn, together with Perpetua’s mother Mrs Mary Joseph and her little brother Paul.
Perpetua wrote these One Liners, hoping to sew together the torn walls of her heart. She wanted to share her One Liners with the world, because she believes, if they helped her heal, they could help someone else too.
Principal Sr Melissa congratulated Perpetua for her book, its apt title and expressions. She encouraged Perpetua to write more Poems, One Liners, create good works of art and be successful, despite all odds of life.
In response, Perpetua appreciated all those who motivated her to write these One Liners and thanked her mother, school, mentors, specially Prof. Maria DCosta, Rev Fr Anil Ivan Fernandes and philanthropists who helped in bringing out this book.
Perpetua is a multifaceted student, good in studies, an excellent artist and a trainer too; she shares her art and learning across the globe. Besides she is a singer and has sung in some albums. She truly deserves everyone’s support and good will to pursue her talents and dreams.
