MCHMPA Hosts Annual Educational Conference Honouring Academic Excellence
Mangaluru, June 26: The Headmasters and Principals Association (MCHMPA) organized its Educational Conference on June 26, 2025, at Rosario Cultural Hall, Mangaluru. The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries and educational leaders.
The distinguished guests included:
- Mr. Govinda Madivala, DDPI
- Rev. Fr. Robert Dsouza, Parish Priest, Allipade Church, Bantwal
- Mrs. Rajalakshmi K., Principal, DIET
- Mrs. Sumangala Naik, Dy.S.S.K.
- Mr. Stany Barretto, Former Vice Principal, Milagres School
- Mr. Lakshmi Narayana, SSLC Nodal Officer, D.K.
- Mr. Venkatesh, In-charge BEO, Belthangady
- Mr. Aloysius Dsouza, Honorary President, MCHMPA
- Mrs. Jayavanthi Soans, President, MCHMPA
- Mrs. Jayashree, President, DKHMPA
- Mrs. Matilda D’Costa, Secretary, MCHMPA
The programme commenced with a prayer by the students of St. Rita English Medium School, Cascia, followed by a warm welcome address by Mrs. Jayavanthi Soans. The formal inauguration was marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.












Rev. Fr. Robert Dsouza addressed the gathering, commending the dedication and selfless efforts of Headmasters and teachers. He also encouraged students to grow into responsible citizens contributing to the betterment of the nation.
Mr. Govinda Madivala, DDPI, appreciated the relentless efforts of schools and students, congratulating the Dakshina Kannada district for securing the first rank in the SSLC examinations. He also emphasized the importance of supporting students who are academically underperforming.
Mrs. Rajalakshmi K., DIET Principal, congratulated the toppers and lauded the exceptional leadership of school heads.
As part of the occasion:
- Retired Headmasters of member schools were felicitated.
- SSLC 2024–25 school toppers were honored.
- Headmasters of schools with 100% SSLC results were recognized.
A special gesture was made by Mr. Stany Barretto, who sponsored ₹50,000 to support SSLC toppers from both English and Kannada Medium schools. Additionally, Mrs. Surekha contributed ₹10,000 in honor of the top-performing female student from a Kannada Medium school.
In recognition of the district’s academic excellence, Mr. Govinda Madivala and Mrs. Rajalakshmi K. were felicitated for their leadership that helped Dakshina Kannada achieve the top position in the SSLC Board Examination.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Matilda D’Costa, Secretary, MCHMPA.
Following the conference, the Annual General Body Meeting of MCHMPA was held.
