Mangaluru: The Postgraduate Students’ Cultural Extravaganza “SANGAM 2020” was held on February 6th at Mother Teresa Peace Park of the College.

Mr Walter D’Souza, Leading Exporter and Former Chairman of Cashew Export Promotion Council of India and Federation of Indian Export Organisations was the Chief Guest. Rev. Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ presided over the programme. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Principal, Dr Richard Gonsalves,Director of LCRI Block and Dr Loveena Lobo, Director of Maffei Block, Dr P PSajimon, Dean of PG Studies, Ms Niveditha & Mr Ashok Kumar K, Convenors and Sheethal and Crystal Vivita Menezes, Student Coordinators were present on the dais.

Mr Walter D’Souza, in his address said, competition came into existence right from the time existed in this world. He further said that, we are living in a competitive world and now-a-days competition has been so evident. Hence, these competitions are necessary for students to shape their careers.

Fr Dionysius Vaz, in his presidential remarks, applauded the PG staff and students for organizing SANGAM 2020 in a meticulous manner. He said that the extra-curricular activities help students to achieve better prospects in their careers.

Rev. Dr Praveen Martis in his speech, congratulated the organisers for their unstinted efforts in organizing such a wonderful event. He told the students to think out of the box and involve themselves in such competitions to shape their future.

During the programme, the top scorers of PG section were felicitated by the Rector, Fr Dionysius Vaz, SJ.

Dr Alwyn D’Sa, Controller of Examinations, Dr Leo D’Souza, Director, Applied Biology Lab, Rev. Dr Melwyn Pinto SJ, Director of Community Radio Sarang, Prof. Edmund Frank, Co-ordinator, PGDBM were present for the programme.

Sandra, II M.Com. compered the programme. Ms Niveditha welcomed the gathering. Crystal introduced the Chief Guest. Mr Ashok Kumar K proposed the vote of thanks.
