Mangalore, June 25: Fr. Ravi Santhosh Kamath, fondly known as “The People’s Priest”, completed 60 Years of Religious Life! A Mass was organized at 11 a.m. at Fatima Retreat House in honour of him and his dedication towards his work. Fr. Santhosh celebrated the Mass and after which a short felicitation programme was conducted by The Director of Fatima Retreat House, Fr. Melwin Pinto.
There were six other Priests concelebrating the Mass. During the felicitation, Fr. Melwin addressed the gathering and spoke about some of the achievements of Fr. Santhosh over the years. He has been taking Communion to the sick and elderly people since the last 40 years!
Fr. Santhosh cut his 60th Jubilee cake along with the Director, the other Priests and the congregation and was honoured with a garland, a shawl and a basket of fruits. He then spoke a few words thanking The Almighty God for the immense strength he has showered upon him for the last 60 Years. He also thanked the Priests and the Congregation for having made it there and for encouraging him.
