Mangalore: Around 300 people benefit from Free Health Camp at Mulky

Mangalore: The CODP Mangalore, Fr Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady and Immaculate Conception Church, Mulky jointly organized a free health camp at Church Hall Mulky on 29th April 2018. 

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Church, Mulky. Dr Suresh Aranha, Local Gynecologist and Fr Oswald Monteiro, Director of CODP were present for the programme. 









The main departments of Fr Muller Hospital that provided the services were General medicine, paediatrics, orthopaedics, dermatology, E.N.T. and ophthalmology. Nurses, lab technicians and ECG technicians also provided the services. 

All check up, treatment, necessary medicines, blood test, blood pressure test, ECG and eye test beside other services were provided to patients free of charge. Around 70 people availed spectacles at low cost. In all 110 health cards were issued to people at a concessional rate. 

Mrs Pushpaveni, CODP Animator in charge of SHGs in Mulky area, was the driving force behind the success of the camp. Pamphlets were distributed by her and Sneha Okkoota members, and personal visits to

Institutions of all faith and SHGs helped her in encouraging around 300 people to draw the benefits of this free health camp. 

At the venue Animators of CODP and an enthusiastic team of volunteers from Immaculate Conception Church, Mulky also contributed to the successful conduction of the health camp.
