Lourdes Central School Inaugurates New Computer Laboratory and Renovated Administration Office
Mangaluru, May 26, 2025:Lourdes Central School marked a significant milestone with the grand inauguration and blessing of its newly renovated administration office and state-of-the-art computer laboratory. This development underscores the school’s commitment to delivering modern infrastructure and resources for its students and staff.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Rev. Dr. John Baptist Saldanha, Manager of Lourdes Central School, and Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira, the School Principal, who jointly unveiled the new facilities through a ribbon-cutting ceremony. They were joined by Rev. Fr. Peter Mascarenhas, Rev. Dr. Vincent Sequeira, Rev. Fr. Norman Mathias, and Rev. Fr. Joseph Arul, along with Vice Principals Ms. Belita Mascarenhas and Ms. Anita Thomas, members of the Management Committee, and school faculty.




















A solemn prayer service followed, led by Rev. Dr. John Baptist Saldanha and the school choir. The principal extended a warm welcome to the President of the programme, members of the management, staff, and clergy, acknowledging their support and presence.
During the blessing ceremony, Rev. Dr. Saldanha invoked divine blessings upon the entire school community, praying for continued growth, wisdom, and guidance. The choir enriched the spiritual atmosphere with the hymn, “There Shall Be Showers of Blessings.”
In his address, Rev. Dr. Saldanha emphasized the collective responsibility of the school community to shine as a beacon of excellence, stating, “Each must be the light to make LCS shine. Everyone matters, and a great responsibility rests on every shoulder to raise high the flag of LCS.”


















Principal Rev. Fr. Johnson Lawrence Sequeira expressed heartfelt gratitude to the administration, staff, and students for their dedication in bringing the project to fruition. He highlighted the importance of the new facilities in nurturing academic excellence and equipping students for the digital future.
The event concluded with a guided tour of the newly inaugurated spaces, showcasing the school’s continued pursuit of innovation and excellence in education. The upgraded infrastructure is set to significantly boost both learning experiences and administrative operations at Lourdes Central School.
Ms. Shanthi Menezes, a dedicated staff member, served as the master of ceremonies, ensuring the smooth flow of the programme.
