LCS organizes Children’s Carnival – 2021 and LCS Regale 2021

Children’s’ Day ‘Carnival, ‘LCS Regale 2021’ was organized for all Lourdites with great enthusiasm by the staff. The unique week long programme began on 08.11.2021 and the grand finale was on 13th November. Each day was celebration in itself.
Day 1 – Celebrating the wonder of Childhood
Day 2 – Acknowledging God’s gift in your child
Day 3- Every child, a blessing to the school
Day 4- Uphold your values, they become your destiny
Day 5- Believe in yourself, you are a star. All these activities filled the students with joy and happiness; also it helped them to build them self-esteem, creativity and developed their positive attitude.
The finale being the Children’s Carnival Regale 2021 was celebrated on Saturday the 13th of November. Rev Dr John Baptist Saldanha, the Manager, Rev Fr Robert DSouza, the Principal, Vice principal Ms Belita Mascarenhes, assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr Suraj Lobo, Rev Fr Anush D’cunha were present. Student representative Amna Javed of Class II presided over the function. The Regale 2021 began with a prayer song by the staff of LCS asking God to bless the children.
The staff of LCS welcomed the gathering in a creative way displaying the letter WELCOME The principal along with the students garlanded the photo of Jawarlal Nehru to pay respect to our late PM Jawaharlal Neharu, in whose memory the Children’s day is being celebrated year after year. The vice principal Ms Belita Mascahrenhes appreciated and wished the children and thanked all the staff for involving themselves in making this big event come true.
The teachers of LCS appreciated the children in a melodious way with the wishing song and children joined the chorus and sang ‘happy happy Children’s day’. The principal Rev Fr Robert D’souza spoke on the occasion and appreciated the children for taking part in Regale 2021 He mentioned that each child is a gift from God and we are fortunate to have children in such large number in our school. He said “nothing will make us happier than seeing children grow in the right way and wished all of them a fun filled happy Children’s day. The manager asked the children to thank their parents for all that they had done. He wished happy Children’s Day to all and said that the students of LCS are the best.
The chief guest from Class XII Amna Javed spoke on the occasion and asked the students to keep alive the child that is in each one of them. She asked the students to use their talents collectively to build the nation. She ended her speech by saying “If we can do what we should do then we can conquer the world.” Spot games were also conducted by the Principal. Student Raman of Class 2D who was wearing a mask similar to the uniform was awarded with a prize. The lucky student of the day was selected by conducting American Housie Housie on students birthday month and the winner was Pradhan P Shetty of Class 1D.
The class for best Window Chart was won by Ms Shanti Menezes of Class 4A and the clean classroom award was backed by Ms Preethi Vamanjoor of Class 7D.
The much awaited dance by the staff of LCS was much appreciated by the students who joined in clapping and cheering the teachers.
