Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Organizes “Sahitya Sambhram” with Great Fervor
Mangaluru: The “Sahitya Sambhram” programme organized by the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur.
The event was presided over by Mr. Joachim Stany Alvares, President of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, who delivered the inaugural address and extended a warm welcome to the gathering.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Francis D’Souza, former editor of Amchi May magazine. In his address, he commended the Academy’s efforts in organizing literary programmes across various towns, thereby enhancing its visibility among the Konkani-speaking community. He further lauded the Academy’s commitment to the holistic development of the Konkani language through such initiatives.













Veteran litterateur Mr. Dolphy F. Lobo shared his insights on the Konkani language and literature. This was followed by an engaging interactive session conducted by senior writer Mr. Marcel D’Souza (popularly known as “Maccha Millar”).
The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Janet D’Souza, while Mr. Ronald Crasta, a member of the Academy, efficiently compered the event.
