Igniting the Spark of Creativity: Inaugural Ceremony of Clubs and Associations – 2025
Mangaluru: St. Aloysius PU College remains steadfast in its mission to offer holistic education that transcends the classroom. In alignment with this vision, the college inaugurated 38 vibrant Clubs and Associations for the academic year 2025–26 in a grand ceremony on 26 June 2025 at Loyola Hall.
The programme commenced with a soulful prayer by the Shastriya Sangeeta Club, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Vice Principals, Deans, and Club Coordinators. The formal inauguration was marked by an energetic performance by the Bollywood Dance Association, followed by a grand procession of Club and Association Presidents, each carrying placards representing their groups. These clubs span across academic, cultural, and service-oriented domains, offering platforms for student growth and expression.
Principal Rev. Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, in his address, encouraged students to seize every opportunity. Quoting, “An apple seed’s potential harvests countless apples,” he emphasized that every student holds immense potential and must strive to live life to the fullest.
A captivating drama by The Dramatics Association brought alive the spirit of each club through symbolic storytelling, reinforcing the unity, diversity, and dynamism of the college’s student body. The Western Music Club then added to the lively atmosphere with a rousing band performance.
The event was graced by Vice Principals Ms. Vilma Fernandes and Mr. Muralikrishna G.M, Deans Ms. Kiran Shetty and Mr. Inas Dais, and Club Coordinators led by Ms. Shravya Shetty, along with Ms. Lavina Shivaram, Ms. Ashwini K, and Mr. Diyon Crasta. Their presence and efforts played a key role in the success of the programme.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the rendition of the College Anthem, ending the event on a note of pride and unity. This Inaugural Ceremony beautifully reflected the collaborative spirit of St. Aloysius PU College, ushering in a promising year of creativity, leadership, and innovation.
